You edit and create Time Release posts in the usual way, but you mark it as \u201cTime Release\u201d. After a few days, if you haven\u2019t posted any new stories, then the Time Release posts will start to be published.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Features<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Displays a single post after <em>n<\/em> days of inactivity<\/li>\n<li>Posts with a date in the future aren't published until that date has passed<\/li>\n<li>Notifies author by email when a post has been published<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Bugs should be reported in the comment section of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.piepalace.ca\/blog\/projects\/time-release\">the author's page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Use<\/h3>\n\n<p>For more detailed instructions, see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.piepalace.ca\/blog\/projects\/time-release\">the author's page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h4>To mark a post as Time Release<\/h4>\n\n<ol>\n<li>Create a new post,<\/li>\n<li>On the post edit page, check the box \u201cQueue post for time release\u201d in the \u201cTime Release\u201d sidebar widget,<\/li>\n<li>Save the post as a draft. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h4>Find Time Release posts<\/h4>\n\n<p>You can see your Time Release posts by going to the \u201cEdit Posts\u201d page of your blog. You\u2019ll see a new column with a pill icon for a title. All Time Release posts have a little pill. Time Release posts that haven\u2019t been published yet show a count to the number of days before the post is published.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Control when Time Release posts are published<\/h4>\n\n<p>Expand the \"Settings\" box in the administrative pages, and click on \"Time Release\". The settings page has controls for email notifications and the amount of time that must elapse before a queued post is published.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Usage notes<\/h4>\n\n<ol>\n<li>Time Release publishes your queued posts after <em>n<\/em> days of inactivity. If you create a new Time Release post, and it has been more than <em>n<\/em> days since your last post, the post will appear within a day. <\/li>\n<li>Time Release publishes one post at a time. <\/li>\n<li>Time Release checks your inactivity twice daily.
