Each category can be configured independently. Manual plugin and theme updates can be denied globally or for selected installed items through WordPress capability checks. WordPress update candidates and update data are not modified.<\/p>\n\n<p>Choose which administrator accounts may access the Updates screen, install plugins, and use the built-in file editors. Until an account is selected, all administrator accounts retain access to prevent an accidental lockout. Other users cannot access these controls.<\/p>\n\n<p>The optional schedule temporarily hides update counts and notices through a selected site-local date. It does not fetch or install updates; WordPress core handles those operations.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20happens%20when%20no%20administrator%20is%20selected%3F\"><h3>What happens when no administrator is selected?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>All administrator accounts retain access until at least one account is selected.
