Using Storyform

Storyform is built to work with mainly HTML5 standard semantic article content. It attempts to remove any inline styling or extraneous elements and simply uses the underlying semantic elements. It then applies it’s template layout and styling that you chose for the post. Storyform does not support:

  • <object> based videos or content
  • <iframe> embedded elements other than YouTube, Vimeo videos
  • links or alignment attributes on embedded media

Screenshots

  • Bold and beautiful templates.
  • Easily add pull quotes anywhere in your content.
  • Rich edge to edge images.

FAQ

Can I get an application key?

Absolutely, just signup at https://storyform.co/#signup.

When I preview my page it shows up blank. What’s going on?

Storyform is still a bit fragile. We are working out the kinks. Start by going to your post’s content and ensuring that there aren’t any funny elements (<object> tags, <iframe>s or other interesting elements). Remove them one by one and see if that helps. If not, please contact us at hello at storyform.co

The free version does not work on websites that have SSL enabled. Why do the developers penalize us this way? For this plugin to work on my personal blog, I would have to upgrade to a paid StoryForm plan. No thanks. Note to StoryForm: Basic SSL certificates are free these days. Having a certificate installed doesn’t mean we’re a commercial / profitable entity.

How much worse can this get? I subscribed (and paid) for this plugin, then I had a question about pictures not cropping properly. Wrote an email to their support center… nothing. called the number on their contact page, left a voicemail, 2 weeks later nothing… Wrote about 10 emails to support address since…asked to unsubscribe. … nothing But hey, just got billed for a month’s subscription, even though I asked not to… tried to contact them again, phone, email… nothing… If I could give 0 stars I would…

I would recommend this to anyone seeking an immersive and responsive story experience in WordPress. And their support is incredible. Storyform is the jam!
