Simple Banner

This plugin makes it easy to display a simple announcement banner or bar at the top of your website. You can easily customize the color of the links, text, and background of the bar from within the settings. You can also customize to your heart’s desire by adding your own custom CSS. There’s also a fancy preview section within the settings so you can see your changes before you save them.

Can I create my own CSS for the banner?

I'm really happy with this plug in. It works as expected, is easy to use, and has been effective at drawing in additional sales. I have it on 2 of my sites and am in the process of adding to the rest.

Great plugin especially during development to allow for warnings and disclosures. My only recommendation and this can be done manually within the plugin options, would be to add "z-index: -1;" (of course if you have other header region z-index elements you may need to adjust the value) to the css to prevent the banner from blocking the WordPress drop down menu.

Very clean and simple. Does exactly what I needed it to do. I love how easy it is to change the banner color, the font color and hyperlink color. I initially had a small CSS issue with my Template. The banner was covering the Top Menu. The author is very helpful and sent off a simple solution. If you need a simple banner solution this is what I recommend.

What you can do with this is limited, but if you only want a simple banner, it's perfect. The banner is hidden when you're in the admin dashboard too. About my only complaint is that the 1.04 version gets in the way of the first drop-down line of the admin ribbon when you're logged in. It would probably be possible to tweak the CSS, so it appears underneath that.
