Perfect Quotes

This plugin gives you the freedom to add quotes or testimonials to your site without having to connect to an external source for quotes.
If you want to add a new quote, do just that, add a new quote. No more letting other people say your quotes for you. If you want to give your customers testimonials, this is a great plugin to do that, too!

  • Widget based to easily place your quotes where you like.
  • A custom shortcode is included if you want to place your quotes within a post or a page.
  • Based on Custom Post types with its own admin menu.

Support languages

  • PHP
  • CSS
  • jQuery/javascript

  • This is the overview page of all your quotes. It is very similar to the All Posts and All Pages areas.
  • This is the Add new page for your Perfect Quotes. It is very similar to the Add new post and Add new page areas. The Custom field area got a face lift and is much easier to enter the appropriate info.
  • This is the widget view for choosing the settings for the plugin.
  • This is the new UI for inserting a quote shortcode directly into the editor. A much easier way to include your quotes without needing to copy and paste shortcodes!
  • The widget on the site.

  1. Upload plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress.
  3. Go to the Perfect Quotes menu and select Add new.
  4. Type in your quote.
  5. If you want to show who said the quote, enter the author’s name in the “Quote Author” field.
  6. If you want to show where the quote is from, enter that info in the “Where is the quote or author from?” field.

It will look something like this:

The trouble with quotes on the internet is that it’s difficult to discern whether or not they are genuine.
– Abraham Lincoln, A humble home

There are now two widgets: Perfect Quotes and Perfect Quotes – Single Quote

Perfect Quotes
1. Include the widget by going to Appearance > Widgets.
2. Drag the “Perfect Quotes” widget to the area of your choice.
3. Give your widget a custom title if you wish.
4. Let Perfect Quotes know how many quotes you wish to show.
5. If you want quotes to randomly be selected, check the Random Quote checkbox.
6. Select the category(s) that you would like to choose from.
7. Save!

Perfect Quotes – Single Quote
1. Include the widget by going to Appearance > Widgets.
2. Drag the “Perfect Quotes – Single Quote” widget to the area of your choice.
3. Give your widget a custom title if you wish.
4. Select the quote to display from the drop down list.
7. Save!

From any page or post, you can add shortcode to display all your quotes. There are now two ways of accomplishing this:

  • The New Way: From the editor window, click on the Perfect Quotes icon next to the “Upload/Insert” media icon. A simple popup will help you select which quote you want to display and enter the shortcode for you! It’s that easy!
  • The Old Way: From the Perfect Quotes home area, there is a column called Shortcode. Find the particular quote you want and copy the corresponding shortcode. It looks something like [perfect_quotes id=”1″]. Paste this into your post or onto a page and your quote will magically appear!
