You can use this plugin to solve your Gallery and Lightbox problems. I have been working for a long time for this plugin to be usable on WordPress
I have my own server and thats why I can create most efficient plugins. I am always looking at the logs and PHP warnings. Normally shared hosting users cant see these warnings.

Installation
- Upload
gallery-and-lightboxto the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Enable this plugin on option page
There is no settings page on user end. You can use like below on the WordPress post edit page. You have to change image links and caption names. This plugin supports maximum of 20 images. The usage of captions are not necessary.
